LinkedIn session expired
Podavera shows “Expired” or the extension “Not synced”: LinkedIn closed your session. How to restore it.
The extension acts with your LinkedIn session in Chrome. When LinkedIn closes that session, Podavera can no longer engage for you: you stop earning credits until it's restored.
The signs
- Settings › LinkedIn Connection shows the status Expired;
- in the app menu, the LinkedIn icon's dot is red;
- in the extension window, LinkedIn Session says Not synced and the dot is red.
Why it happens
LinkedIn closes a session when, for example, you sign out of linkedin.com, change your password, clear Chrome's cookies, or LinkedIn asks you to sign in again.
Restore the session
Sign back in to LinkedIn
Open linkedin.com in the Chrome where the extension is installed and sign in with the same LinkedIn account as before.
Let the extension resync
As soon as LinkedIn creates the new session, the extension sends it to Podavera, with nothing to do on your side. Reopen the extension window: LinkedIn Session should say Active.
Check in the app
Reload Settings › LinkedIn Connection: the status is back to Active.

The extension seems disconnected
The extension window asks you to log in, shows “Not synced” or does nothing. What to check, in order.
LinkedIn account already linked to another account
The extension shows “LinkedIn Account Already In Use”. A LinkedIn profile can be linked to only one Podavera account.
