Boost a post
Speed and distribution
The Speed, Distribution and Time spent simulation options of the “Settings” step.
The wizard's Settings step sets the pace at which likes and comments land on your post. Engagement spread over time looks more like a real audience than a burst of likes in one minute.
Speed
The target gap between two actions on your post:
| Speed | Gap between two actions |
|---|---|
| Natural (default) | 1 to 5 minutes |
| Standard | 30 seconds to 2 minutes |
| Fast | 10 seconds to 1 minute |
The first action is planned about one minute after launch. It's a target: actions are done by members' extensions, which have their own pace and daily caps. When few members are available, the boost moves slower than the chosen speed.
Distribution
How actions are spread over time:
| Distribution | Effect |
|---|---|
| Uniform (default) | A steady pace from start to finish. |
| Front loaded | More actions at the start, then it slows down. Handy to launch a post in its first hours. |
| Back loaded | A slow start, then more actions towards the end. |
| Bell curve | Slow at the start and the end, denser in the middle. |
| Random | Actions placed at random within the boost window. |
Time spent simulation
None, Short visits or Medium visits. This choice is saved with your boost but doesn't change how actions are carried out yet.
